What's In A Name
I am always interested in how people come up with names. So if you are interested too. This is how we came up with our new puppy's names.
We had the same reaction when we saw the first picture -- Petey from the Little Rascals. That was it, he was stuck with Petey nothing else sounded right.
Robby gets the credit for coming up with his AKC name. He looked at Petey one day with his little Fez hat and Elizabethan collar. Turned to me and said he looks like one of the clowns out of that opera, you know Pagliacci. Once again it just sounded right.

Water Color by Dana Thompson I think this lady is extremely talented and caught Petey's personality perfectly. The photo was submitted to Great Danes On Line picture of the week. This is my favorite puppy picture of Petey and I guess Dana liked it too as she decided to paint it. (Don't let that innocent face fool you though!)
Petey is our beloved show marked pet that happens to love to show. Petey and Nikki have made their mark in the show ring with very little advertising. You can see Petey's win record from competitions to date at Info Dog. I was actually looking for a mantle pet until I saw his face and knew he was the one. Petey is my band aid puppy and has far exceeded my wildest expectations. (We lost our first Dane just before Christmas 1999 due to cardio.) Latest Show Photos.

Petey has been health tested and is available for stud to approved bitches. Inquiries are welcome, please send your bitch’s pedigree (with coat color) and pictures to lapdogs@brerdane.com. Limited frozen semen is available as Petey resides at the Rainbow Bridge now.
